Fly fishing for trout
Fly fishing works on most of our river sectors. Dry flies during a hatch, nymphs the rest of the time, streamers when we are hunting a bigger fish. We adapt to your level — a complete beginner can absolutely land a first trout on the fly the same day.
What we work on
- Short, accurate casts in tight, wooded water.
- Drift control and line management.
- Choosing a fly based on what the water is showing.
- Setting the hook and fighting fish on a fine tippet.
New to the fly rod
You do not need a $1,500 setup or a perfect loop. On a small river, most fish are caught within thirty feet. We start from what you already know how to do.
