Ontario trips run year-round: the guide picks the river and target based on what is present and legally open at the time of your trip.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions

- Not everywhere or all the time. Presence and openings depend on the river, season and applicable regulations; the sector is confirmed before the trip.
- What does it cost?
- Same packages as salmon: $250 for 1 day (6 h), $600 for 2 days / 1 night, $900 for 3 days / 2 nights, per person (CAD).
- Is a catch guaranteed?
- No, catches are never guaranteed.
- What equipment should I bring for Ontario salmon fishing?
- Waders and wading boots are required. Bring your rod, reel, lures or flies: fishing gear is not provided. Bring your own camping equipment for multi-day packages.
- Is transport from Montreal included?
- Round-trip transport from Montreal available: +$100 per person, subject to availability. This extra is not included in the package price or booking estimate. Request it in your message; the guide confirms availability before any commitment.
- Can I choose fly fishing or spinning?
- Yes. Ontario salmon trips are walk-and-wade outings with fly fishing or spinning gear. Select your preference in the request; the sector and technique depend on the river, season and applicable regulations.
- Which fishing licence do I need, and is it included?
- The licence is not included. You need a valid licence for the province where you fish: Quebec for Quebec trips, Ontario for Ontario trips. Buying online is very easy: allow about 5 minutes, sometimes less if your account is already ready. For Quebec and other Canadian residents outside Ontario, a one-day sport fishing licence costs $15.21 + tax (2026 fee). An Outdoors Card is not required with this one-day licence. For other licences that require it, the card costs $8.57 + tax, approximately $9 before tax, if you do not already have a valid card. Fees and exemptions vary by residency, age and circumstances; check the official portal before buying. Buy online: https://www.huntandfishontario.com/
- Can I bring my child or join as a beginner?
